šŸˆ I'm by no means freaking out going into the Ole Miss weekend because of the use of a 4 letter word.

Terry, I believe he would have gotten penalized regardless if the QB had held the ball or tossed it as he did. I could be wrong, but I believe the penalty was for roughing, picking him up and throwing him down. I have not re watched the game, and am going off my feeble memory. I think the tv announcers had it wrong, as a lot of them do during the course of a game regarding penalty plays or a normal play. In my view many of the play by play announcers and analyst don't know any more about football than you or I do. It seems to me that during games they are not seeing what I see. As far as analyst goes, it is kind of like political analyst on tv who tell us what the politician just said right after I just watched and listened to them, as if I don't have eyes, ears or half of a brain.

Hold on. I never said anything about one week being enough time to solve some of these issues. Timing, as example, is developed over ... time. The way an offensive line develops—or gels if you prefer—happens over the course of a season.

Penalties, like these false starts? That can be solved and solved quickly.

As to the rushing attack we're seeing from the GCG combination? How many reps have these three had together? Cotton, Bozeman, and Ross P.? That combination, mind you. Then we're adding Shank in the mix, flipping positions with Ross to RG from C ... see where I'm going? They've had reps, but these five, at these positions, haven't seen as many reps as I'd call ideal.

I'd have to sit and count, but I'm wondering how many different combinations were seen on the line this fall.
I'd have to sit and count, but let's look at QB's, RB's, OL, and all those combinations ... how many were there?

Reps.

To get Cotton on the field. That's my supposition. I've heard nothing but really good things about LC since he's been on campus.

Covered most of those, yes?

Still ... not freaking out going into this game. In fact, like the teams chances.

Fair enough. Reading between the lines, you see Piersbacher playing Center on Saturday?? If so, wish they would have got him some reps in a game situation... I'm guessing we see all 4 of those dudes... In what order, who knows?

All thru fall camp we heard / read that Piersbacher at center was almost a natural thing and then during the first game week, he gets moved and all those reps during fall camp were, not really wasted, but ....
unused I guess. I would like to see a Cotton, Piersbacher, Shank rotation for a few series just to prove it works or doesn't.

Well, good to have you back.

Woolyal is back up and running, as a few of the guys here that were from there alerted me. I've just grown to really like this pacle over here, so it's my home now.

And hopefully a few more "reverse drinking games", like I had during the Clempsum natty game, will be conducted this year as well...lol.

Well shoot, thank you SLO! We are glad to have you here.

Can't wait for your drinking game threads! :D

I'm going to predict any more high snaps and d-line penetration and you will, soon. Right now I would like to see our guys win some one on one battles.

We undoubtedly will need better offensive line play this year. Nkemdiches disruption of our offense was almost as much of a determining factor in the game as the insane amount of turnovers. Uhhh.... glad he's gone.
