Alas.....I am stuck slaving to the grind whilst my beloved Alabama is playing it's annual A day game.

Can any of you there give me updates on how full the stadium gets while it is filling up?

If you'll check back in, there is a decent chance I'll have the video streaming here for you.

Just got back from the stadium. Lower bowl has lots of people (1/3 full) and the upper decks probably have 2000 sprinkled throughout. Most people are still tailgating, waiting on the team, or pounding beer.

There are lots of people on campus.

I've gotten a few text messages the last hour with differing reports. Last one said lower bowl is around 85-90% full as of 2:15 EST. Lower bowl full puts the crowd at 60K.

I suspect we'll end up about like we did last year at this point - 75K or so.

That said, I had a guy send me a note about a half of an hour ago saying McFarland looked like a game day.

That is awesome to hear. I hope we put at least as many butts in the stand this year as we did last year. Not only for our team and our Coach, but since we are on ESPN.

I think the exposure is going to be great.

What's it look like now, Perdido? If it isn't full, I will come.
There a TON of people of campus. It rained here this morning so I donty know how many people that scared away but it looks like we have a nice window for football.

Im guessing 80-85k, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it higher. The only bad part was the traffic wasnt that heavy but of course I dont know how much of that normal gameday traffic comes form people not coming to the game. Yes, McFarland is terrible right now.

I saw a lot that put the theory out there that since the game was televised there wouldn't be as many show up.

I've looked at the opposite way. Since it's televised some people are going to show up just to represent the University on a national stage.

That is exactly how I saw it. If I did not have to be here I would be on campus for sure. Not just for the representation but it's always good to get back to my hometown and see mom and dad and such.

At any rate it sounds like we are on track for filling up the stadium with comparable numbers respective to last year.

Are you going to the game Terry?

No, got stuck handling media relations this weekend at the Family Circle Cup.

This is as full as it got.
