Wow, that's a tough question....
As for current HCs, it would have to be a long-term-proven winner (not just a season or two of success.)
- Richt teams win but are too soft, at least on D.
- Miles has proven to be mostly consistent, but has occasional brain ... burps.
- Spurrier... nah.
Miles probably has the best track record.
As for OC/DC, I don't like bringing coordinators on for their first HC gig (al least, not at Bama). However, I might have to look at Smart because he has been in the system for so long that I think he would understand what it takes to succeed. It would be a different role for him and I would hope that he would be just fine in it.
Hopefully, we don't have to be concerned about that for many years to come. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!
