I'm going to offer up a series of these questions, but we start with a Super Bowl edition. If you could have dinner with 3 former (living) NFL QB's where y'all just sit in a private room at a high end steakhouse and shoot the shit for about 3 hours, which 3 are you choosing?

I'd go with Joe Namath, Joe Montana, and Dan Marino. I wouldn't say a word unless I needed someone to pass the rolls. There's 2 others that just barely missed the cut.

"Roger the Dodger." He was "my guy" growing up.
Bradshaw (meeting his daughters may have some weight here.)
For today, my third is going to be Bart Starr. I want to hear him discuss his "three-peat" with the Chiefs in the spotlight this weekend.

I do like that table but have to ask, "who are the other two?" Just a guess, probably not a good one, Kurt Warner? He would be on my list of alternates. Plunkett would have some good Raiders stories. Zorn, and the impact of a lefty at QB, would be interesting.

BTW, since we're able to pick whom, I'm going a step farther and picking where.

One of Elway's steakhouses and he's there.

Marino was always my favorite... but I'd have to also say Montana, and probably Brady. Those are the 3 best in my mind to have ever played. I never knew any good Bama qb's, they were all gone before my time. But Namath would be a hoot!

I’ve had dinner with Peyton and Archie back in 2000 and Warner in 2023. There were a few other people at the tables, not just me though.

I’d go with my favorite growing up, Montana, then Big Ben and Steve McNair (if he were still around).

Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russel, and Eric Crouch. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

On a serious note. Back around 2010 or so, my ex and I adopted our niece and nephew. We are out for dinner one evening in B'ham. Tortugas (Chicago Style Pizza). There is Chicago memorabilia all over the place. Bulls, Bears, Cubs, Whitesox.......if it is Chicago, it is on the walls of this place. As we are waiting, my son notices a lone Bart Starr jersey hanging in amongst all of this stuff. Green jersey sticks out really bad. ( He is about 7 years old). I explain that the Bears and the Packers are a huge NFL rivalry and is a lot like the Alabama/Auburn rivalry is to us. As I am explaining this to him, low and behold Bart and Cherry Starr walk in to the restaurant and sit in the booth under his jersey. I absolutely begged my son to go and get a picture with him. He was too shy and would not do it. I told him as we were eating that he would regret this for the rest of his life. Anytime anything remote about Green Bay or Bart Starr is mentioned, I wear his ass out. He will be 22 in a couple of weeks and still gets miffed if I mention anything about it.
