🏈 If football jerseys are part of your wardrobe ...

I just shake my head everytime I see a 50+year old man wearing a damn jersey!

I can't agree more. Two things I can't fathom: adult men in jerseys, and wearing clothing that references a rival. It's an admission they're in your head - or in this case your ample midsection...

NFL fans of all ages are all about jersey's and the same goes with NHL, MLB, and NBA. Funny how college fans are looked down upon for wearing a jersey but professional sports fans are okay. Now I havent worn a jersey to an Alabama game since I turned 30. I retired mine and hung it in the closet. I have one I wore that I was fortunate enough to be signed by Kenny Stabler so that's framed!

I collect game worn jerseys and have them up in my son's room to surround him with the program and build him into the culture, but I have always been a fan of dressing up and looking your best at an event. As a student I wore ties and bowties, and as an alumnus I wear khaki's (different colors) and a button down no matter the temperature.

By general rule I look at it like this. A guy should never be wearing a jersey of someone of similar age or less. If you're 35 and want to break out that #55 jersey then go ahead, if you're 35 and wearing one that says Cooper on the back then :naught:. Same goes for NFL.

I have a old #10 jersey from when I was 8 or 9 years old because Walter Lewis was my favorite player. I do not still wear it though :-)

That makes zero sense. I swear to god Football fans are weird as fuck.

Didn't she misspell that word? If you going to hate us spell it right! I did have a jersey and yes I'm a little over 50+. I think I worn it once or twice, but one of my granddaughter got it and I don't know which one. By the way, no I don't wear any jersey now at all. :D

I just see it as idolizing/hero-worship...and I don't see how a grown man can idolize a 19yo kid. You, I'm sure, do not see it as idolizing and place some other connotation with the practice, which is fine. Our thoughts are allowed to differ. For instance, I like dressing up as Krampus and terrorizing local malls. Do you?
