I've been thinking about doing some nostalgia articles with a theme of "By The Numbers". My idea will be to take a particular number (54 for example) and trace it from the early Bryant years to the present, writing about the distinguished players who have worn it. Hopefully there will be enough to carry us over into the lull from after A-Day until fall practice starts.

I like Joe's idea. Articles and discussions about UA's great history and tradition are always good. You know, whatever the old players might sit around and talk about in the off-season.

In fact, I've saved a link to an old article for a long time, because I found it so offensive. But it made the author's career. I'd still like to find this long dead guy and ask him how he had the gall. I'll start a new thread and post it.

One idea i talked with Porter and RammerJammer this past year was taking money from the banner ad clicks and using that money to go to the coach saban talk show next year which is usually about 400 bucks or so to get the best seats in the house and getting saban to sign 4 footballs and giving them away here

and am i available for this as well, i do get to go to some nice places while filming. One place we bream fish they have some that way close to 4 pounds, biggest we have caught was a little over 2 though
