So, I waited for a few minutes on the picnic tables outside. No big deal. It was on the tail end of my morning ride. After 15 minutes, and the store remaining closed, I moved on and decided I'd make coffee instead of "borrow" it.
Come to find out when I went back up there around nine they were "almost robbed." My question was, "what?" I mean, I was there around that time. But, more importantly, how are you "almost" robbed? You are, or you aren't.
I'm told a gun was pulled but then they ran. I'm told they wanted cigarettes but not money. I'm told they wanted the cigs from the back.
So, I asked...what does that mean? No answer from the manager. A few hours ago I asked the assistant manager the same thing and he shut up like a clam...pointing to a microphone at 3 am that someone might be listening to?
I told the manager yesterday their stories didn't make sense. They still don't.
"Life in a southern town...oh hey, um..."
