🏈 I was being a fan this morning and "rambling" for a friend who runs a blog...if you are interested..

Good stuff Terry. And one cool thing about the renovations... I think they kept the old wooden bleachers, just refinished and re-painted them. Might not be the most comfortable seats, but IMO, that was a nice touch.

I wanted to get in there for a game and get some photos, but with only a couple to play now, it is going to be tough with my schedule. Might have to wait until next year. And it would be awesome if they would let the men's team play a game in there during Christmas break next year when attendance is down. Or hell, even an exhibition game.

Here is a photo I took of Foster Auditorium about 24 hours ago...

That is a gorgeous picture Brandon. Ever think about doing a university calendar? Seriously, I'm always looking for a decent one of campus views and can't ever find one.

OK, to tell you how old I am. The last time I stepped into Foster I was taking an aerobics class. It was literally the most run-down building I've ever been in. It was later basically condemned for asbestos. Great, I spent at least a year or so in there. My parents used to share grand memories of their time in Foster. I just couldn't relate. It's great that the University took something with SO much history and restored it in such a classy, modern yet historical manner. Normally I'm all for tearing down something old and rotten. I'm glad they didn't listen to me on this one.

Delta, a calendar is something we can probably do pretty easily, and we have talked about it some in the past. I would think we have enough photos in the archives... We could do one of sports and/or one of just UA campus scenery (or a mixture of both). I've also wondered about mouse pads.

I agree with Delta, Bran. That shot would make an awesome calendar pic!

Delta, my fondest memories of summer orientation (first year at Bama in '74) was playing pickup basketball games at Foster during our free time. Also, back then, the "A-team" intramural basketball games were played there while the "B-team" intramural basketball games were played at the old barrack gym off MacFarland (I'm sure that place is long gone).
