🏈 I wanted to apologize to any members I might have offended

Hey gang, I just wanted to take a minute to apologize to the board for any comments I made in the game thread(s) that might have offended people. Anyone that knows me knows that I routinely use game threads to vent. When I post on game threads it's in "real time" and in the heat of the moment, and most of you that have been on here for any amount of time know that chop says exactly what he's thinking when he's thinking it. That's not always a good thing, but it's a fault of mine.

I know that atleast one person took issue with my "Flintstone" comment regarding Julio. I apologize because by the letter of the law if was against board policy. Having said that, when I made the post I really expected people to see it and kind of chuckle, because while I was frustrated, I was also trying to make a joke.

Bottom line is that what applies to the members also applies to staff. It would be bad policy to call someone out for something when chop or another staff members is doing the exact same thing. I've said it a million times and I continue to believe that we have the best members on the net here. You're the best for a number of reasons, least of which is because of the way you conduct yourselves on the forums. Staff have to be held to the same high standards.

Again, I apologize to the board. The last thing I would want is to have members view staff as hypocrites. This is not something that anyone has asked me to do, but I was compelled to say it.

One of my Aubie buddies called me and said....Iron Hands Julio:rofl: was at it again......we both laughed and he then came up with a big catch...Not sure what your flintstone comment was but maybe something similar.....personally I thiought it was funny and Im a huge fan of Julio. He has had some issues though with the dropped passes but im sure it will get corrected. Funny is funny though....:lol: Take them Iron Hands all the way to Pasadena :td::td::elephant::a::a::a:

to be honest since the 3rd or 4th game i look for him to drop 1 or two early. and it makes me feel good when he does because low and behold a possession or two later hes gonna make up for it.

Chop, I was at the game so I missed the comments but like most, I take any comment with a grain of salt. Heat of the moment we say things. To me its like water off a ducks back. No harm no foul. No apologies are needed. Now if it was a personal attack on someone then I would think apologies were needed.

I do the same thing at times during the game. The next day it is a little easier to see things clearer. Julio's hands may keep him from leaving early for the NFL. :a:

i never read in game comments. i am too wrapped up in the games to post on here mid game. when its almost kick off time, i put my cell on silent, turn my computer off or close it down, grab my beers, and get my food nearby, and zone everything else out

As for Julio's hands, I agree he drops more passes than we'd like. But, let's not forget that this guy is about 20, and in his second season as a college Wideout. He is a physical speciman, and a lot of his drops are due to coverage he gets. I actually think he does awesome in jump ball scenarios. If he ever drops one when he's open, it's because he's looking upfield a little quick.

The guy is for real, and it's better he's with us than anyone else!!
