I am VERY optimistic that we're still not out of a bcs title hunt. Last year after lsu beat us, i came up with a few scenarios that could get us back into the big game. Alot of people laughed at me and alot of Bama fans just said way to keep the faith. I had a big smile on my face when EVERY ONE of my predictions came true exactly like i called them. I know it was luck but, im going to remain optimistic again this year. We will probably drop to no.4 in the polls. That puts K.State and the irish ahead of us. I still think they're vulnerable. I dont see Oregon losing at all. But if the irish and the wildcats lose, we will have a repeat of last year. Now we need to take care of aubie and keep our heads up. In the words of Ronnie Milsap...."stranger things have happened".....last year is a good example of that. :icon_elephant: ROLL TIDE ROLL to all of you. :chat2_cheers:

Still a good season I guess, we WILL demolish Auburn, win the SEC, and probably play Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl and have a chance to ruin their undefeated season :icon_cheers:

SEC fatigue or not, if k.state and notre dame go down, and we play a no.5 Georgia, you don't think that we will be above a 1 loss k.state and 1 loss notre dame? And what if they bump Georgia to 4 and drop us to 5 and we beat a no.4 Georgia? I don't see 1 loss k.state and notre dame being ahead of us when we play, and hopefully win, a conference championship and they don't even play one. We got in there last year with 1 loss and didn't even play in the sec championship. There is no way they will leave a 1 loss sec champion behind 1 loss k.state and notre dame.

Your best hope is Texas over K-State, Oregon dropping PAC-12 title game and Notre Dame losing in LA in a couple of weeks. It is entirely plausible. Take care of business and let it play out.

Bama is not out of the title race AT ALL.

A 5-point loss to a good #15 team is not that bad. We're .996. Notre Dame at #4 is .905. Georgia #5? .817.
We drop to #4 at worst in the BCS tomorrow. Georgia's loss is much worse than ours.

Kansas State and Notre Dame don't play a 13th game. Even if they both go undefeated, we still play a 13th game and assuming it's against #5 Georgia... if it's a convincing win we get in at #2, behind Oregon #1 assuming they go undefeated and win their conference title.

We're still gonna go, I think, as long as they take care of business. The BCS loves more games, bigger, better, wins, and all that stuff.

Bama will DEFINITELY go if one of the top 3 loses, obviously. I'm a fan of whoever plays against KSU, ND, and Oregon for the rest of the regular season.

(At the time of posting this, Boston College is knocking on the door against Notre Dame right now, trailing 7-3)

I'm not even considering a one loss Oregon cause there is a very slim chance of that happening. K. State and Notre Dame are more likely to lose one. Only 2 of the top 3 need to lose and we are right back in it.

A lot also depends on where we fall in relation to Florida. While they are at #6 in the BCS, they are still going to get a lot of love on the computer end of the rankings. At this point, even with a loss, Florida is still ranked higher than Oregon in the computer standings.

On the same note, a lot will depend on how UGA is perceived. The win versus Auburn didn't help them in the computer standings where they average #6. If there is a "draw" on human votes in the two polls there remains open the possibility we'll sit at #4 later tonight.

We may need to beat one, and have four lose. Although, a win in the SECCG should bump the Tide over UF if they win the remainder of their games.

It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility, but the chances are slim. Of course, I said the same thing last year when we lost to LSU. Last year we had four weeks of football left after the loss: this year three.

You do love the BCS if you take the BCS and allow it to do what it's designed to do—put the #1 and #2 team together to decide it all.

So many people chose to deride the BCS when it's done EXACTLY what it was supposed to do each and every year.
