Obviously, at least two must lose for us to get in, and we must win out. Georgia will not be easy. Yesterday's game was played in a manner where we couldn't pull out a marginal win. In a close loss, everything logical - playcalling, QB play, turnovers - is magnified, and the unsupportable, illogical assessments - such as playing with "no heart" - crop up like mushrooms.
We made mistakes, they played very well, we lost. I was stricken after last year's LSU loss because my view was last year was "our year" in terms of talent and motivation to reach a NC game. This year, I had considered anything a bonus, thinking LSU would be better. I believe our chances for a NC are better next year.
The trouble with this game is we did lose to the aubrun of Texas, and that certainly hurts. They have replaced Arkansas (or better) in the West pecking order, and we will have to deal with them, beginning with an early season game at their place.
