is anyone more excited about an Alabama/Fla matchup than an Alabama/UGA matchup? i think florida would be more of a challenge and they are a better team than uga, but uga's ground game is the best they've had in a while.

Ole miss hits hard and i think they can punch uga in the mouth and keep the game low in the numbers which favors the quick-strike deal that old miss uses.

Ole Miss 19
UGA 16

if by chance alabama loses along the way and lsu gets to go to the seccg, a fla/lsu rematch could also be a great game.

Any chance we have to put a beating on UGA ranks VERY high in my book.

It very well may turn into a good game. I suspect Freese will have his players under more mental control than Boom did last week.

Over/Under on turnovers? I'll take over four.

If Georgia mails it in like they did against UK this could become a very interesting game. georgia reached a high level of intensity last week, but I am not sure if it was because of what was at stake or because the opponent was Florida. I still see the Dawgs as an undisciplined, chippy bunch. A key factor in their win was that they were able to get under Florida's skin with that style.

the way Ole MIss hits on defense, i would give them the ball from UGA 2-3 times. whether they can score off those turnovers is key.

that being said, Ole miss will also likely turn the ball over with INTs. maybe 1-2.

so i give ole miss the advantage in the turnover dept.

---- the two advantages i see in this game for UGA are the running game with Gurley being a fantastic back and their secondary which i think plays very well. last year i would have said Aaron Murray would have been a plus, but i consider him to be less effective every year since his recruitment at UGA.

---- advantages for Ole miss ---- Bo Wallace is a playmaker and seems to be getting better every game. He is destined to have a breakout game where he runs for 100 and passes for 200 or something like that. It won't be against UGA, but i do think he'll be effective. the other advantage to Ole MIss is the way they hit and play on defense. they were out of position against alabama numerous times certainly, but they hit very hard and can make some of UGA's receivers and skill players have second thoughts.

should be an interesting game...

I want UGA sooooo badly! Predictably, they went from wanting to get rid of Richt a couple of weeks ago to now saying they would match up well and maybe even beat Alabama if given the chance. I just agree with them and tell them how wonderful they are and it would be a great challenge for Alabama to face a team like theirs.

this obviously isn't the same Ole Miss...thought these were worth mentioning.

Ole Miss hasn’t defeated Georgia since 1996 when the Rebels won 31-27 in Athens. Georgia has won nine straight meetings and is 5-0 against Ole Miss under Mark Richt. The longest win streak in the history of this series is 12 straight by Georgia from 1977 to 1988.

Ole Miss has already surpassed last year’s total number of wins, points, touchdowns, passing yards and total yards. The Rebels have scored in 26 of its 28 red zone trips (92.9 percent), sixth best in the nation and second in the SEC.
