My thought process goes like this:

If Kiffin would not have made such comments as he did about Florida then all the talk would simply be about how UF is so much better than UT and then I would be concerned about UF buying into their own hype. However Kiffin did make those comments and now all the talk is about revenge against kiffin and the players are buying into that rather than themselves.

Just my opinion, got nothing to back it up

Tebow has already said he took what Kiffy said personally about Meyer and we've seen how much of a role and effect Tebow has on his players when he wants to rally the troops. It's going to be nasty and tons of egg for Kiffy.

tennersee's defense matches up pretty well against fla. and fla is not as good as last year on offense imo.

i see this being a close game if tenn can come out and run the ball fairly well and slow the game down. if tenn comes out trying to let crompton and his half-grown molestache throw the ball 20 times in the first half, the game is over.

one thing is for certain, now florida has to play a real team. tennessee is going to punch them in the mouth for the first time this year. how will fla respond?

but...Tenn just does not have a QB that can produce points. To beat FLA you must score 31-35...ask Alabama or Oklahoma and demonstrated by Ole Miss.

I also think that FLA 09 is better than FLA 08 (hard to imagine with Percy). So I think that it will be close until FLA goes into Turbo Tebow and then wins by 40. Not 70.

It will get ugly at the end with the nuts from Tenn who try to invade the Swamp.

I attended this game two years ago and many of the fans were sloppy hillbilly with no manners; FLA fans truly hate TENN fans and I can see why.

There will be little mercy on the Vols.

ROLL TIDE--our job is to heal up and stick it to a pretty good NTex team with a good young coach. The talent and depth is just not there for Coach Dodge.
I see bama winning by 40-50 in this one. That is just the way it is. The depth is the problem---this team is not as good offensively or defensively as the FIU team. Hope lots of crimson get to play.

I believe it's going to be a blowout no matter what. But Kiffin added more fuel to the fire with what he said..way before the season even started. So I think Florida will take extra pleasure in piling on the points.

Tebow and the offensive starters won't even be taken out of the game until after they've scored 50. That's how much they want to shut up that loud mouthed Lane Kiffin.

Porkchop, I kinda understand your feelings - anything is possible in college football. I think UT will consider this a "moral" victory is they lose by less than 3 TD's. I don't think it will be a total "blowout" (i.e., 70-0), but I have to think FL will win by 30+ pts. Maybe 'bout 42-7. :a:

By anyone's standards Florida has an outstanding defense. Tennessee has a banged up OL, a weak group of receivers and big issues at QB. Their are two ways this game could play out, IMO. 1) The vols play it close to the vest on offense. A succession of three and outs keeps putting their admittedly good defense back on the field. They wear out and Florida scores in the forties, though the game will be realtively close at half time. 2) If the Vols try to be aggressive it backfires, becoming multiple turnovers instead. The game gets ugly early and Florida gets to the siixties.
