I was 10 years old when Bama beat Miami in the Sugar bowl for the national title on January 1, 1993. Since then I have longed, prayed, waited and wanted so much to see the Tide win another title.....and tonight my hopes and prayers came true. 17 years of waiting....but how sweet it is! Bama has got another shot at the title!!!!!

It's gonna be a great one too. I'm so glad Texas beat Nebraska, as I feel Texas is the second best team out there, only second to Bama of course. I couldn't think of a nicer, greater program to play for the title than Texas. Mack Brown is a cool coach. Colt McCoy is a classy person. Can't wait till the Tide has a chance to roll against them on January 7th

Looking at the history of it.....this should be one for the books. Bear Bryant wanted so badly to beat his friend Darrell Royal at Texas for a championship, but could never pull out a victory over him. This is a great chance for Bama retribution

Also, final point....If Alabama wins the title, it would be the first time since 1965 that they've won the championship outside of the city of New Orleans! Very cool! History could be made guys!

I was only six when we won in '92 so yes It is a long time coming for me. My generation needs this badly.

i was 10 also, turned 11 july of that year. loved the game. love rewatching the hightlights over and over. hey crimson blood, i have family in ashville, al, and visit them about 4-5 times a year. was there over thanksgiving, and will be there again for Christmas in about 2 weeks

Wow, that's great! I'm just about a 30 minute drive away from Ashville....we need to meet up sometime
