"My Bryant-Denny Experience"

http://www.hogville.net/yabbse/index.php?topic=309313.0

A couple of observations from attending the game and reading these comments:

1. It wasn't a sense of arrogance, it was confidence and rightfully so, Bama in my opinion is by far the best team in the country

2. The stadium is not a dump, it is fine and their food choices are much better than at Razorback Stadium

3. I sat in the former Alabama players section (which one would think would contain some mouthy fans) and everyone around where I sat could not have been more pleasant. Of course if you don't act like an a-hole like some of you that probably goes a long way.

4. Nothing wrong with the girls at Alabama at all, I have no idea what that poster was looking at, maybe his wife.

5. Everyone in Alabama is aware that Bear Bryant is from Arkansas, they do not care, he is famous and a legend because of what he did at Alabama, rightfully so.

6. Alabama is going to be a dominating team for as long as Saban is there, why he would ever want to leave I have no idea.

7. The outcome of the game should not have been surprising to any realastic hog fan. How many of us had us beating either Georgia or Bama before the season? Not me.

8. For all the crap that some of you spout about Razorback stadium being all Walmart etc. and thus not as loud as WM, that is BS, it is as loud as Bryant-Denny was, and the Georgia game was louder than at any time during the game yesterday. I don't think Bama has any "Walmart" fans.

9. Almost forgot to add, if you were in the band, please refrain from making fun of anyone, for obvious reasons.

Oh snap, Greg!

Exhibit A--At least they have a history to point to for their arrogance.

Exhibit B--I'm sure no one inside Alabama cares what anyone outside Alabama thinks of THEIR tradition. They most certainly have the lead in their britches to back it up. You sound juvenile in your argument. You need to leave it alone and move on.

As far as the Bryant references, I learned a long time ago that "it is what it is". It's going to be a long time before our rivals stop using that line on us. Funny how we're all so obsessed with Coach Bryant, and we can't bury him, but it's our rivals that make it a point to bring him up. :lance:

Not sure what you mean with Exhibit B, Chopper? You gonna lost me on that part of the reply. Who is the "you" that you are referring to. I wrote none of this.

Just came across a rival thread that made me laugh.

Amen on your Coach Bryant comment.

He was actually quoting one of the posts in the thread you linked to. Originally posted by The Galloping Ghost in the other thread.

Exhibit A was also a quote from that thread as well.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Arkansas fans. I actually root for them most of the time. As long as they are not playing us. Never have had problems tailgating or talking sports with them. Great fan base IMHO.

I agree, much easier to pull for the hogs than most SEC teams......expecially the barn and the toothless banjo players.
