🏈 Hurts, Bateman, Barnett and the QB competition

Not to mention, these media folks also work for organizations who have paid subscribers, work on radio shows, etc. So creating some buzz is certainly good for business...

Scrimmage probably accounts for 10-20% of the decision progress.

I'm in the trust Saban & coaches group, I'll support whoever gets the nod AND I love that we have buzz at the QB position. I'm excited about our future and I'd absolutely love for us to have a truly dynamic QB. Hell, we're already DB-U, LB-U, RB-U, OL-U, DL-U, etc. Imagine if we start putting QB's into the 1st round too...

Well, we reached 10 pages, so Hurts is now declaring for the draft. We only have Bateman and Barnett to choose from now.

Very Nice!!

Ok sorry everyone for the delay but had a busy weekend and Monday so far so I am just getting to post. I actually had a friend who is a former player I was talking to on Saturday and he had a buddy who was at the scrimmage Saturday. We called him while he was driving home and got the scoop. My sunday school teacher will be at next Saturday's scrimmage so I will pump him for opinions then. ( He has been warned)

Here is what I got from this Saturday...

- Hurts looks to be the most dynamic QB on the field (said most of the time he looked like that was against the 3's but you can see the talent
- said Scarborough looked great while he was in there
- Also said that the 2 freshman runners both looked really good said especially Emmons
- that Marlon Humphrey looked like an All American but that the whole Secondary looked awesome
- Christan Miller will be on the field sooner rather than later
- Bateman looks over matched compared to the other two
- Said Rashan Evans left with a concussion type injury that I haven't seen reported anywhere and said Rueben Foster looked really good
- Also picked up that Cam Sims may be ahead of Robert Foster for the third wide receiver spot

So nothing super new from what I have read except for a few.. but these are opinions of what was seen. I personally would like to see Barnett get his chance but if Hurts continues to impress and gives us the best chance then so be it. My only fear is that it would cause at least two and maybe 3 transfers if Hurts won it and would probably only cause 1 if Barnett wins it. If it is close go with the extra year in the system and let Hurts continue to develop.

my two cents...

The only fighting is a certain individual sending me messages calling me a "fat queer"... but whatever. The only issue I've had is with people claiming to be insiders and stating things like "____ WILL be the starter" as if it is a given fact. We will always debate about this stuff, every year.

This settles it. Emmons, Humphrey or Reuben Foster should be the QB.

I didn't know you were fat...
