šŸ“ HS coach on Harsin. He's telling recruits: I’ve made a living off of beating a lot of four- and five-star kids with guys like you.ā€

I know a HS coach who worked under one of his close friends who was the assistant principal and AD. The friend told the coach he was going to be altering some grades to keep a couple of players eligible (pressure from parents/boosters). The coach got mad and said I'll have no part of that and I won't play them. The AD fired the coach and the whole deal ruined their friendship.

Sheesh. Terrible. Glad the assistant principal took his educational oath seriously.

If he’s telling that to three-stars, what’s the problem? Three-stars don’t have their pick of programs. Three-stars might become four-stars. If he’s recruiting early enough, this might help him with the ā€œwe’ve always wanted youā€ appeal.
The biggest reason is "because he hasn't." He's taken some three star guys and beaten teams with higher ranked players, yes. But, it's been when those teams were not very good. I think he has one win over a nine win P5 team pre-Auburn.

State wise it's loaded with talent this season and he's pitching that to three star guys. He's playing catch-up, badly.

Seems like his target audience and message is all wrong. Maybe if he wants to recruit well and win and keep his job try this.....

If I can coach up three stars to beat 4 and 5 stars... imagine what we can do with 4 and 5 stars like you in our program.

I don't imagine teams like Houston, Mississippi State, and South Carolina have a roster full of four and five stars. Let's be honest - he's one dropped wide open screen pass against Georgia State from not even going bowling. I'm still trying to comprehend why the hell Auburn went out and hired a guy who didn't really light up the world at Boise State. He sustained their success, but nothing on the level Peterson did.

Just an opinion. This hire was done by the AD Green with the backing of the the president Gogue. That’s a NO…NO.. at the barn. The PTB have to be involved and they were not. If what we’re hearing is true that Harsin is determined to run a clean program then Green has face-slapped the PTB and they are after Green, the head coach, and anybody else that is on that band wagon.
