How would you rank the great Alabama teams? Which was most dominant?

Offensively - 2020...lowest score was 31 points.

Defensively - 1992 and 2011.

Hard to nail down 1 team overall... maybe 1966.

For me the 1979 team. However, for a dominant player I remember from 1968 a nose guard by the name of Sammy Gellerstedt. 5’ 8” and about 190lbs. He wrecked havoc on offenses all season.

1961. Was also up there. LeRoy. Trammel. Neighbors. Etc.

1992. Had all qualities of greatness

What was it...'86 when Perkins lost to Memphis in a road trip? Then I think about the loss to La Monroe...

Can I compare those two teams? Different eras. Different football.

Was the '09 team less dominant than the '20 Tide? It's judged by the scoreboard, right? Undefeated.

All teams were great, rather they dominated by defense ( basically every team with exception of maybe the 2020 team) or offense ( that 2020 team was something else, 2017 put up some damn numbers too).

But i don't remember the 2020 having a "Tennessee moment ". Where a blocked fg saved them. Would have to go back and look at 2020

As can be said about 92 team. And the officiating saved them vs miss state ( barker fumble ruled a incomplete pass with no replay at time)

That Defense kept LSU out of the endzone and field goal range. Also the weather had something to do with the low scoring Bama 3 LSU 0.

That. Greg dancing down the sidelines for a 1st down in the SECCG. "Let's win a championship, boys." Several things about that season make it special in the same way the '20 was special in its own way.
