🏈 How many wins will auburn have this season?

Yeah, I'd like to hear why you think that.

Be sure to jump into the 'book this season...love hearing different opinions on teams and outcomes.
Well, the first and most important thing in my opinion is whether Auburn can take care of the ball or not. They were horrendous in that aspect last season, and Aranda's defense last season was really good at forcing turnovers all year. Auburn has got to win the turnover battle if they're going to win this game. I believe in all their losses last season they lost the turnover battle in all of them.

Another reason is I don't think Auburn will be able to throw the ball down field effectively with Arnold at quarterback. So that means they'll rely heavily on their o-line and running game to move the ball. Baylor isn't elite at stopping the run, but they are pretty stout at it. They'll hardly ever just give you easy run lanes to get yards through. They're good at fitting the run and playing inside out. They hardly would ever give up anything easy up the middle last season, it was either off tackle runs that got them or the occasional guy getting beat and walled off from the play or just a guy overrunning his gap at times. Again, not elite, but pretty stout. Auburn has got to win those matchups if they want to win this game. If they got a guard working up the second level and that linebacker consistently stacks him up and sheds him off to make a play, it's curtains. Hell, you never know.... Baylors D-lineman may eat them up and give those ILB's all the space in the world, we'll see. Basically what I'm saying is if Baylor makes Auburn one dimensional in that game, I don't see them winning it. And that's not because they don't have weapons at those positions to do so, I just don't think Arnold is going to be the guy to get them ball consistently. He had that same problem at Oklahoma.

I could be wrong, but these are the glaring issues we may see in that game that could lead them to a loss. Especially the turnovers, you'll hardly ever win a game turning the ball over 5 times in game.

If they start out this season like last, that'll be their downfall. The thing about last season is right at two-thirds of those TO's came in August and September: two-thirds of those came from Thorne. On the same note, while at OU Arnold had all of his INT's in the first four games. How do they come together early? Arnold is just a mystery. He had two TD's against SEC teams last season: Ole Miss giving up both (didn't play against TX or AU.)

Dylan Sampson at UT had about as many yards per attempt rushing as Arnold had yards per attempt passing. 5.78 vs 5.8 Down field, you say? (I was saving that nugget.)

I just don't see Auburn meshing well with Arnold. I feel they went out and got another Thorne at Quarterback. We'll see how they pan out, but I wouldn't be confident in it working out.

I hope 0 but something tells me they are going to do better than most think this year. Again hope not but Freeze has had enough time to make his system work. If he cannot get it done this year then the Barn fans will be out for blood. With my small sample of Barn fans I specifically know they are not pleased with his recruing and his golfing schedule in the midst of the poor recruiting.
