Found this looking at the 247 site:
Since 2008, Alabama has dominated the West (the toughest division in football). Take a look at the breakdown below:
7-0 vs. MSU (average margin of victory is 20)
7-0 vs. Arkansas (average margin of victory is 28)
6-1 vs. Ole Miss (average margin of victory is 17)
2-1 vs. A&M (average margin of victory is 20)
5-2 vs. Auburn (average margin of victory is 17)
6-2 vs. LSU (average margin of victory is 8)
33-6 total - .845 winning percentage
Every loss versus a western divisional team has been by six points or less.
2010 Auburn- lost by 1 to Cam.
2010 LSU- Lost 21-24. I believe that was the Milliner busted coverage game.
2011 LSU- OT loss by 3. Special teams meltdown game.
2012 AM- threw an INT on the goal line to lose. Should've ran the ball 4 straight times.
2013 Auburn- Miracle
2014 Ole Miss- Lost on the last play with an INT in the end zone.
I believe these are all the games won by 20 points or more:
Arkansas:
2008:49-14
2009: 35-7
2011: 38-14
2012: 52-0
2013: 52-0
Auburn:
2008: 36-0
2011: 42-14
2012: 49-0
MSU:
2008: 32-7
2009: 31-3
2010: 30-10
2012: 38-7
Ole Miss:
2011: 52-7
2013: 25-0
AM
2014: 59-0
LSU:
2013: 38-17
NC: 21-0
It could be argued that the East was just as tough for the included time frame which makes the following breakdown as impressive if not more.
7-0 vs. Tenn (average score 34-11)
3-0 vs. Kentucky (average score 34-14)
2-0 vs. Georgia (average score 37-29)
2-0 vs. Missouri (average score 42-12)
1-0 vs. Vanderbilt (average score 34-0)
4-1 vs. Florida (average score 33-16)
1-1 vs. South Carolina (average score 21-21)
20-2 Total for a 91% winning percentage and total conference record of 53-8 for a 87% winning percentage. The 2 things that stick out to me are the average score for Florida that includes a loss and that we owe South Carolina.
