šŸˆ How do you want Utah to do in its first season in the Pac-12?

Utah isn't a school I followed last year or the season before last, despite the Sugar.

I can't say I'm going to watch that closely this year...BUT!

Remember all the talk about "what if they played in a BCS conference?"

That'll be answered.

I'll admit I'd like to see them do well, largely because a few of them visited our site around bowl game time and hung around afterwards, and they seemed like good folks.

I don't know how well they have recruited since our game with them, but my impression of their new league is that it is pretty soft except at the top.

I don't expect them to be in a BCS bowl game anytime soon. I could be wrong, and I hope so. From the small amount of dealings I have had with them, they seem to have a great fan base.

With USC being down and UCLA not looking to make any headway at being the king of the PAC 12, I think Utah is jumping in at a good time. While Oregon and Washington have a bit of a head start, I think that Utah can make some noise. I still think that the league is pretty balanced and will not have a representative in the MNC CG this year.

I think it will be 10 years before they win a PAC10/12 championship, and only then will they play in a BCS bowl game.

I think they will be a bowl eligible team just about every year.

Teams like Utah/TCU/Boise are all able to play 1-3 games a season against real competition, but when you put them in a full season schedule against BCS teams, we will start to see injuries/fatigue start to take affect on these teams resulting in 3-6 losses per year.

Well that's interesting, because going off what you said and adding to teams in new conferences, I firmly believe TCU will be in a championship very quickly out of the Big East (upon joining in 2012 of course), I just can't see them being challenged by easily the least deserving of the BCS conferences-- in no way should the Big East be a BCS conference

Lets not kid ourselves, the Big East is a BCS conference in name only. TCU will have a very easy time winning the Big East, but a national champion should never come from the Big East(without a playoff).

I still believe the only way to some kind of multi-team playoff is through having 4 large conferences. And with everyone wanting a playoff, this 4 mega conference system will arise.

to me the Big East shouldn't even be in the mix simply because of how their conference adjust which school participates in sports - football = 8 teams, mens basketball = 16 teams, mens baseball = 12 teams. Is this really a true conference?

quite frankly, I hate the BCS. this is just one of the reasons.

Oh, I totally agree, but just b/c the Big East IS a BCS conference, winning it and going 13-0 should and I think will get TCU in the championship-- deserving or not... It'll be one of those, I guess like "legitimizing" games where we can say "this is the reason we should have a playoff instead of BCS" or "this is why the Big East shouldn't be a 'BCS Conference'"

I will watch just for the sake of seeing how they make the jump. I think that they will be competitive but will suffer 2-3 losses a year. I think the losses will be higher if USC and UCLA can get over their shortcomings.
