I feel better than last year and in my 10th season of being in Tide Pride I love the feeling walking into BDS being confident that Bama can/will/ should win. I did a little comparison also between last year and this year. Both seasons featured an ACC "power house", two SEC teams, two minor opponents (08-Tulane, W Ky, 09- FIU, N Tex).

Last year versus Tulane we needed Javy to have a career day to pull that one out, and defensive heroics to pull out the win over Kentucky.
This year Alabama hasnt needed Javy to be THE MAN and change the game. Maybe later this year he will. The defense has been good and has held when they needed to. But on offense they spread the ball and take what the defense gives them. No one is forcing the issue, McElroy doesnt HAVE to hit Julio because he has other options, and we dont need to depend on a run on the left side behind 71/78. The Tide is better at runnig, better at passing, and better at scoring than last year at this point. The running game may not be as pretty, but it works.
I'm liking what I see, and I hope it gets better. Was I a little worried against the Hokies, or FIU ,and Kentucky when it was close? Yes, and then the Tide decided they had enough. Just like the 99 yard drive against Arkansas. Take control and take over the game.
Alabama has never been flashy or spectacular. Pound the ball, throw some short passes, and hit 'em hard on defense. Just win!
