🏈 How did you feel when Nick Saban said "This is not the end?

Not to be a Debby Downer but I didn't take it as a "I'll be here for along time" type of thing. I wish he would just come out and say it already, then I'll pitch a tent like rammerjammer up there.

I believed that he meant the process wasn't complete yet. I beleive that. Weren't their times this season when we looked very, very mortal, and beatable? I think there was, and the Tennessee game should be a humbling experience: it still takes a lot of luck to get through a season to win a title. We were awesome at times: Florida couldn't have beaten us if we were STILL playing today. We might have beaten several bad NFL teams that night. But against Texas, we looked like a mid-tier SEC team at times, and other times world-beaters.

The process isn't over.

One more thing: I found a video that I'd share but it's blocked at my work, that features Saban just before the UT game. His words: "We want people to quit when they play us. That's our M.O. We make people's a$$e$ quit."

Friends, that hit me harder than anything he's said so far. As a former football player and competitive athlete (cycling), that is the type of athlete you want to be in competition. You want your opposition to QUIT.

I was really pumped when I heard this. To think that he did this with all his seniors (4th or 5th year)(except Cody) being Shula recruits is awesome. Next years 5th year seniors will be Shula recruits and 4th years will be half and half. He won't truly have all his own recruits until 2012. It stokes me up that he is going to continue the process. As good as this past season was, the talent level will be even better next year and in 2011 and 2012. Recruit'em, coach 'em up, motivate 'em. We should be in the NC hunt regularly.
