Auburn 2nd highest ranked team at FIFTEEN???? Wow, how the mighty have fallen! What happened this year??????

1. LSU wouldn't move into the 2010s and get a more creative offense.

2. Texas A&M stays soft under Sumlin, injuries to Garrett and Knight.

3. Ole Miss quit cheating to avoid the death penalty, with no talent except Kelly.

4. Miss State finally lost Dak.

5. Auburn just keeps being ... Auburn... under Malzahn, despite a better defense.

6. Arky got a better QB, but lost their running game and their D line.

7. Florida can't find a QB to save their lives since they lost Tebow.

8. UGA left the cupboard more bare for Kirby than we thought.

9. Ucheat couldn't depend on Dobbs, and had injuries.

10. Kentucky actually showed up, but still not good enough.

11. Vandy proves defense ain't enough.

12. Mizzou lost their hearts and minds.

13. Spurrier retired from USCe - nuff said.

The SEC still gets more blue chip recruits than anyone else in the country. I think this is more of a case of everyone finally realizing the SEC beats up on itself. Like mentioned above, you will play a crappy name in Vanderbilt, but their defense still hits and beats up your offense as they are solid.

The East could hang with 3/4's of the Big Ten, Big 12, and Pac-12, whike beating 95% of the ACC. The media has built up the SEC while also creating a hatred from those not associated with the conference. Look no further than our own boys, Bama fatigue. So in turn, it's blown out of proportion with every loss. I do feel we are a hair down from the look we've had, but still have roster's filled with guys that could take out 75% of the country.

Alabama came off probation/scholly reductions and hired CNS who started sucking up all the talent in the SouthEast. That talent prior had been spread around to all the other teams. I think alburn and LSU were the biggest beneficiary of the Bama limited scholarship years and now they can't get the same level of talent because they have to compete with Bama for that talent and can't. 'nuff said.

If I remember correctly, when Saban was at LSU they had quite the pipeline to Mobile and Alabama recruits. It was nice to get the water shut off and keep it off. I would guess that Kwon Alexander out of Oxford was the highest profile player that Les Miles pulled during his tenure. That's a drop in the bucket compared to the talent we have pulled from LA.

the simple answer is:

Nick Saban,

his teams at ALABAMA seem to have a demoralizing affect on other teams.

seeing through crimson-colored glasses? perhaps.

but i just call 'em like i see 'em.
