One thing that makes look forward to next year is how well we did against Georgia and LSU this year. If our boys haven't bought into the CNS philosophy by now...

I agree, it is impressive the way we played with this season's number 1 and 2 teams in the nation. The most we got beat by this season was a touchdown, and with the recruiting class we have coming in plus the players getting even more used to CNS's system... I see us having 8 wins next year with a possibility of up to 10 games under perfect circumstances.

Seriously, what do you think might have happened with the remaining games had Bama not let things slip away in the last 4 minutes of the LSU game?

I try not to get all caught up in the woulda, coulda, shoulda's. It will drive you crazy. That said, I think if we had beaten LSU we would have been in ATL.

Remember when Javy returned that punt for a TD? That was the 1st time all game I thought we had the game. We finally had it. Of course we all know that didn't occur.

The fumble by JPW probably did us in for the rest of the year. With that ball went his confidence and the confidence of the team. I don't understand the psychological part of it all but playing them that tough and that close seemed to take it all out of us at the end. I really believe that once they lost the game there at the end they no longer "believed" in themselves and their teammates. They no longer "believed" it was all out there in front of them.

Had we only lost the LSU game we could have still gone on to have a great season. For whatever reason the players didn't believe that and practice that. :?

Also don't forget in 06 we SHOULD have beaten Florida as well.. Hell we were beating them for 3.5 quarters lol

Agreed, but remember that not all the players bought into the system. I see us as an 8 win + bowl next year. I hope I am wrong and we have MORE wins. The year AFTER next is the one where I really believe we will start to see the system showing it's true colors.
