šŸˆ How Alabama WR Ryan Williams is trying to eliminate dropped passes

Focus back when, TJ Weist, was a grad assistant/WR coach for Curry. He used to make the guys look the ball in to their hands and have their eyes follow into the tuck/putting the ball away.
That’s old school there. Now days, it’s more how you ā€œlookā€ doing your thing. If I focus and look the ball in, I might not get as many hits on social media.

His main issue is he doesn't catch the ball with his hands he uses his body.

The article probably said this, but they've been trying to strengthen his hands. He's got a lot of similarities to DeVonta Smith, but that ain't one of them. Smith has big hands for his size but but they were also vice grips. Williams has to get his stronger and those catches (with the hands) will come easier.

It's really hard to believe this is an issue with him at this stage of his career you catch the ball with your hands before it reaches your body thumbs down with the ball above the waist and thumbs up below the waist.

The whole WR corps has been drilling using rugby balls.

On a "who was that" note ... was it AC that was the first (as in publicity) at Bama to start using tennis balls during his drills?

Bring out the old medicine ball and have them play catch. Had a kid who couldn't catch a cold and we drilled him daily with the medicine ball bc the head high school coach wanted him to strengthen his hands. He turned out to be a good high school receiver.
