Yup about the worse display I've seen since La. Monroe. Just piss poor everything. Arm tackles ...WTF. GMAC not throwing the damn ball away a zillion times....WTF. TR looked to be wayyy off his game, even on kickoffs. Just a horrible showing in every facet of the game. SC deserved this win because we came out looking like a bunch of babies scared to lose a game.

Oh well all we can hope for now is that other unbeatens in the SECW start losing a game or two and maybe we can rematch USC in the SECCG. But right now it's doubtful if we even will make it. We have like 5 other teams who have a BYE week before us. Our guys already look emotionally drained so who knows WTF will happen.

I'm drinking tonight damnit lol.

I think what happen today was a physically tired and a mentality wore out team was taken to the woodshed by a well rested and emotionally charged USCe. The week off helped them and we weren't ready to play obviously.

My thoughts..

Ok first off, for as many young guys as we have this has been some hella pressure and expectations for them to walk into this season...yes i know that is what we expect when you come play for this school but in reality its just not real to expect it that way...two, monkey off their back, we take the loss we learn and we finish our regular season strong...we still have baton rouge at night im sure and we get the barn at home, we take care of all that then maybe we get a rematch with the cocks in ATL. This is a good thing, its just hard to admit it right now....

Yeah I thought so too - just looked like they were sleepwalking most of the time from being mentally and physically tired. I just hope they don't stumble again to a worse team with so many having a week off before facing us.

Maybe a loss for this young bunch is a blessing in disguise. These guys are feeling as bad as their fans, if not worse. Roll Tide Roll.

Agreed. Maybe they'll start playing with a chip on their shoulder. USCe played WAAYY more physically than we did today and they punched us in the mouth. The problem is that we had no punch back. The O-Line was manhandled as was the D-line and that's the whole game.

The good news is that we usually are the bullies and we will be again. We have a VERY young defense - they got schooled today. We will be back with a vengeance.

One loss may be the best that happens to us. No more "trap" games. Throw the whole playbook at everybody. Enough conservative crap.

Overreact much?

Harldy. I'm no sunshine pumper either. What we saw today was a piss poor effort in every aspect. I won't even begin to single out any player as it was a total lack of physical effort on both sides of the ball. There were glimmers of hope but in reality we simply looked like crap and certainly played the part.

As good as Auburn has been playing (yes I'm one of the few Bama fans that will admit it on here) and as lucky as that moron in purple and yellow is, combined with how hard it will be to run the rest of the season without losing a game you better believe it's going to take a HUGE amount of effort to make it to the SECCG. Thinking otherwise is just sunshine pumping IMHO.

I'm not saying this is the end of our season and we should just fold up. But I'm also a realist and we have such a tough road to go that I just don't think it's doable without a ton of luck, which is no different than how I felt at the beginning of the season. Hopefully we'll make a showing in Atlanta but it will take a loss or two by the other unbeaten SECW teams and one hell of a streak to make it there.

I completely agree. This amazing run had to end eventually. We all knew these 3 games were the toughest ones. I hope this helps this team grow and you never know, we may get our chance again in the SECCG.

Hardly my ass, you make it seem as if we will never win another game. We lose and suddenly getting to the SECCG is something we could only dream of? These things happen, and they're going to happen again one day down the road. Yes, we got outplayed...but we're still by far in the driver's seat to the SECCG. All we have to do is beat the SEC West teams. Will that be hard? Of course... But if you don't think we're capable of doing it then I just don't know what to tell you.

I don't make it seem anything more than what you're trying to read into my posts....

Look, I love this team as much as the next rabid fan. This loss certainly hurts, and yes I'm pretty much venting. Not because of the loss as it had to happen eventually but it's the way we lost.

I've already said I don't think this is the end of our seaosn and that I hope we make it to the SECCG. And yes you agree it will be VERY hard. But what I said was exactly right, we have to hope that the other unbeaten SECW teams loses as well. That's all I'm trying to say. I did not say anything to say we should just give up and if that's the way you want to read into it then I guess just take my venting with a grain of salt. I'll be ok tomorrow lol. Right now I'm livid.

Everyone just take it easy. It's one loss. We've been beaten by a better team. Has anyone actually watched us play this year, against largely inferior competition? Well, today, playing against another rested team, all that soft competition caught up to us. We just weren't in the game, and the scoreboard and Mac's stats just don't really tell the story.

But the Auburn folks shouldn't get too giddy yet....

You guys aren't thinking clearly. We Want LSU and Auburn to win every game except when we play them. That will give all 3 of us 1 loss and we get the head to head so to the SECCG. Also with those 2 being undefeated when we play them they will be ranked high thus moving us up in the polls with a chance to play in the NCG. Think guys think. we have to root for LSU and Auburn all year until we play them.
