NTT, I understand your reasons but that is a TALL order right now. I'm very worried about both those games now. :frown:
 
Basically if we win out we go to the SECCG not matter if Auburn wins all of their games because if we beat them we would have won the head to head matchup they don't have to have 2 losses just 1 to us same with LSU as long as we win out.

You make a valid point. Ugh it will be so hard to pull for the barn and mad hatter.

LSU D, specifically PP is pretty good. Their offense is hit or miss. Auburn looks to be rolling right now. It'll be tough and lets not overlook Old Piss or Mullen's boys.

well if we are worried about those 2 games then we dont' deserve it anyway. we just got to take care of business. we got ole miss and tenn next then we get out week off the LSU, Miss ST. then a thursday ga. state game before auburn. as long as we get back to what got us this far we will be ok.
 
we have to. Think about it the Barn is #8 now we will stay in the top 10. If they stay undefeated til the Iron Bowl they could be ranked as high as #1 being the highest #4 being the lowest. If we beat them and are still around #8 or so we would jump up in the top 5. If Florida could win out and we play them in the SECCG they would be top 5 as well. If we beat back to back top 5 teams and we are already in that area ourselves. we will be a factor for the National championship game. the computer would see us beating 4 maybe 5 top 10 teams on the year. that would put us in the NCG.

I think you're right. This is a young team, and they can take a lot from this loss. I think it's good for a team to lose when they play so poorly, so they'll know they can't get away with playing like that. This reminded me of the Sugar Bowl toasting the Utah Utes put on Bama.

Well said. It should be pointed out that USC isn't the USC of old. It has become what we thought Spurrier would make it. Their offense clicked on all cylinders. Is that because they are so good or our 'D is so bad? I think it has more to do w/ the first, not to say the 'D needs some work but I thought before this game & especially after it, that USC will win the EAST. Also, USC's D is the best we have faced all season, we got behind first & the rest is history.

Bama's defense looked very average today. They looked like the defense of a team that wouldn't even be ranked in the Top 25.

But I guarantee you that Nick Saban will use this loss. A loss like this will really get their attention.

I'm just glad it was a loss to an SEC East team, and not the SEC West.
 
Ok I have changed my mind about LSU. It don't matter about them they play auburn before we do so we need either Florida or SC to run the table in the east and Auburn to run the table until the Iron Bowl. That will put us in the running. Now we need some help from Oregon, Ohio St., OU, the rest we would jump and may jump a couple of them. I mean how many top 10's do they play 1 maybe 2. WE would have played 4 or 5. Played 2 already. BTW Arkansas is #11 they can't jump us. It just wouldn't be right. so we will stay in top 10.
 
yeah but mostly our offense needs to change. We have made a living running out the clock and running the ball behind the best backfield in football. These last 2 games we got away from that and we lost. last year SC wouldn't have had enough possesions to score 35 because we ran the ball and ran the clock. I know we were down early but we could have controlled the rest of the game.

I mentioned in another thread that I think Saban has been concerned about our team from the get-go. I think he saw something like this coming...not necessarily a loss to SC. He has mentioned no real leader stepping up from D. He can only do so much. He admitted he screwed up on that FG fake. He isn't perfect even though we like to think he is.

Seriously??? You can't honestly be serious. This is the same defense that allowed Florida to score at will a couple of weeks ago. Kentucky's defense is awful. So is Auburn's. I'm watching the same game. Yes, Newton is a serious problem for any defense, but I'm confident we can slow him down if not stop him. Regardless, we need not be concerned about Auburn right now, Alabama has to worry about Alabama. That Iron Bowl game won't mean anything if we come out and lose two or three more games.

^^All week in CNS's presser he made it seem as if he was concerned about it as well. I had a bad feeling about this game from the beginning of the season. Hopefully our loss is behind us now. I remember GMAC saying he never wanted to feel what that loss felt like in grade school. Well no he has. It'll be interesting to see how the team responds. I'm looking forward to it.

Alabama football. Keeping the pace maker business alive since the beginning of time.
 
i don't understand why we didn't run as much.....ya mix it up be balanced but i'm sorry when we have 2backs like we got they gonna stop my run first....i'll pound it all day!!!!!!!but oh well RTR!!!!!!!
