🏈 high school to college transitions

I have always heard that certain positions were transferred more easily from the high school to the college game. What positions are easier to translate and what positions are considerably different or more difficult at the college level? Just looking for your thoughts.

From my observations wide receivers and corners are the quickest to make the transition. Raw athleticism can make up for some deficits in knowledge.

Offensive linemen take a little more time.

QB to me is the most difficult to adjust from HS to college. The game is much faster in college, and coverages are more sophisticated.

You hit it Psycho. QB is far and away the most difficult. Behind them, I would say the OL and LB positions.

I guess it's not so different as the pro level. I think the "easiest" is runningback by far as Outlaw said (understanding protection and recognizing blitzes are the most critical tasks), then maybe wide-receiver and corner, but in both positions you'll have to understand the route running thing and the coverage recognizing respectively. IMO at the CB position, if you're gifted, you'll be able to impose your physical condition and your will, for sure. I'm not sold on this for wide-outs, where you'll have to understand route running and how to make you wide open. Well, the most difficult is QB by far...

RB's are prob the easiest. Except maybe long/short snapper LOL
