Intriguing photo...two fold.

First, what a great example of what Bama expects from it DBs, in that Mark is where he needs to be and sells out with no concern for selfs. He makes the play.

Second, exactly that opposite...in the same photo no less. Johnson is beat. Johnson is reduced to playing the man and not the ball. Johnson's right arm opens the door to Pass Interference in the endzone and did nothing to keep the WR from scoring a TD.

Had Mark not touched the ball first, this could have been ugly. But then again, football is not an individual sport and the team did make the play.

The broadcasters mentioned how this Alabama team was showing it's metal in this play. Here we are, up late in the 4th quarter and STILL going strong. STILL laying out to make great plays. That is the m.o. of this team and Coach Saban.

This picture is awesome but, it doesn't really show the whole thing. He gets completely horizontal with the turf about five feet in the air. It was just sick looking.

Maybe it is me, I was a little preoccupied last year, but did Barron just come out of no where this year? It seems like every game he is making these spectacular plays. I am more interested in watching him than I am Julio or Mark. For me, it seems that he is going to be a huge superstar for us.

He's gotten better every time he takes the field.

Barron was excellent as a freshman, he was just overshadowed by Rashad Johnson and not only Rashad's play, but his awesome story of walk-on to starter/leader.

This shows me how much these players have bought into the team. Even when the game is decided and a score would not change the game. He lays himself out for the team so he doesn't let them down.

if someone has the knowledge, the best picture can be pulled from the game film durring the instant replay.. they showed the play a couple of times, but one angle was from the side of the endzone.. i would love to have a pic of that to show my auburn friends..

Mark Barron is definitely "the Truth" , he may well be one of the best overall athletes on the team. His senior year of High School he played LB, RB, and WR. I think they even lined him up behind center on a few plays. If he stays healthy, expect to see many more plays like this in the future.

One other thing, he was the player who caught the pass on the fake punt a few games back. Trust me, they get the ball to him in a little better position and that goes from first down to touchdown really quick.

Barron is a beast. I see him being a key factor in next years Defense. I myself love to see great defenses. I love the hard hitting and the way this defense gets after it each and every play.
