🏈 Here's an SEC hint, coach: Win more games, kick off later.

Do B1G teams do it differently, in the sense of staying on campus or something? That would make even less sense, but either way, I'm sure Arky makes their own reservations, so whine to your people, not the public.

I've never really thought of playing in the early time slots as anything bad. I can remember Florida State and Miami playing at 11:00 am on ABC many a time, and that was in the 90's when the game had national title implications. I remember us and tennessee kicking off at 11:00 am in Birmingham back in 1989, and both teams were undefeated and ranked in the top ten. Now, the time slot that is bad? That would be the 8:00 pm (or later) kickoff on ESPN 2. 1998 comes to mind. The Iron Bowl came within an eyelash of not being televised. We were very mediocre that year, and the barn was downright horrid. That was the year that Terry Bowden walked out midway through the season. It was the final Iron Bowl played at Legion Field. ESPN 2 swooped in at the last minute and got the game for an 8:00 pm kickoff. And don't get me started on the 1996 8:30 pm game against Mississippi State! That one still tick me off! :mad-new:

I think the 11:30 kickoff is an SEC deal with the Jefferson Pilot (or whatever its called now) network. So when Big Baby Brett was at cheeseland he never had to deal with it.

This guy is out of his league (literally) and is too dumb to realize it.
