🏈 Here's an idle question for a Sunday morning...all time bowl wins.

With the USC wins last night their total for bowl wins in school history is now at 33. The Tide currently sits at 34—most in the NCAA.

How does that list work now that we are in a playoff? A win in the Sugar counts as one, no doubt. But, what of the NC game?

Is that going to be considered a "non-bowl" game? Has anyone heard/read anything about how this is going to work in the record books?

I haven't heard or read anything about it counting one or two games either. Good question. IMO, the winners of round one should also have a win or loss counted toward their total in game two.

they were talking about this on jox last week before the christmas break. the sugar/rose bowl will be considered a bowl game, but the national championship will not (from what they'd heard).

I have look around, and I can't find if it count as a bowl game.

Maybe create a new category. In my opinion baseball erred when they lumped all the post season records together rather than keeping the world series stats separately.

@TerryP I asked this question, I think, in October. I thought everyone agreed then it would count as a bowl win, post-season win. We talked about this.
