Back on April 9, the Alabama football program's official Instagram account shared a video of Crimson Tide running backDerrick Henry posing for a photographer in a photo shoot for ESPN the Magazine.
Now we know why, as Henry will appear on one of four regional covers of the magazine's College Football Preview issue. Henry will be joined by Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin and Oregon running backRoyce Freeman as the cover athletes for the upcoming issue.
The annual college football-themed issue of the magazine will hit newsstands on Monday, June. 1.
Last season, as a true sophomore, Henry led Alabama in rushing with 990 yards and 11 touchdowns on 172 carries. The former five-star recruit also caught five passes out of the backfield for 133 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The Yulee (Fla.) product is slated to be the Crimson Tide's No. 1 running back this fall.
