🏈 Henry defense discussion

I've seen it posted here and other places about Henry maybe moving to defense (as an LB I suppose). Is this something that is rumor mill or has he been practicing with both sides?

I really, really want to see him as an RB! IIRC he was listed as an athlete coming in, but I think he runs with a ton of power and it would be a waste of too much talent not to use him as part of a multi-headed RB monster. I know ...I know.... In Saban We Trust... but I just want to see King Henry run at the next level! :a:

SIAP I haven't seen this discussed in depth on here. If it has please move this post to that thread.

I want to see him run all over people as well; however, there are a lot of STUD RBs and only one ball. I can't speak for the kid (kid...BEAST), of course, but he could probably, possibly see more PT at LB.

I haven't seen anyone talk about him moving to linebacker since spring and to my knowledge hes only played running back in camp. Moving him to linebacker def. wont guarantee more playing time, look at the depth there combined with the fact of trying to learn to play that position on this level. Hes better off sticking with running back imo.

A lot, if not all, of the commentary about him as a high school recruit mentioned him playing linebacker. A lot of your analyst had him slated that way. In fact, I recall Lungenbill mentioning it in their reviews of different classes. Most thought he was too big to be a running back, he ran too high for D1 play...a lot of things have been said.

Since he's been on campus? He's been on offense.

From what I've seen, he's only played at RB here, and he's impressing. He and Tenpenny are probably going to be the 2 frosh RB's that see the field this year.

Only thing that has cuaght by eye is that Fanning and Brandon Greene are now TE's. Malcom F. and Harrison Jones are stepping up I guess.

Fanning got put back with the D-Line this past week, Saban said that's where he'll stay. The Greene experiment looks like it's here to stay, probably to give a big power improvement on goal line and short yardage.
