Plenty of people said that about Eli when he took over for John Forney.

Forney is the one I remember first hearing. And when Eli go the job, Alabama football sounded weird, to me. But I got used to it. And there will come a day when Chris' voice will be a normal thing.

I look back at John Forney with great fondness. And I look back on Eli with great fondness. It just takes time...

During the Forney years there was a lot more listening to games on the radio at least for me. Honestly I stopped listening to the radio broadcast for the most part when games were on TV almost every week..
