My bro-in-law was in Vegas last week, and had an interesting conversation with a former alum out there.

He said he had on an his Alabama shirt and an Aussie gave him a Roll Tide. The conversation ensued with the Aussie telling my bro-in-law that he was on the swim team at Bama during the late 90's, and of course it turned to Jessie Williams. The guy told my brother in law that he heard they were letting Williams get some reps punting. Apparently he has a hell of a foot from his old Rugby days and it was worth allowing him to give it a go.

Maybe Terry can give us some detail as to the validity of what by brother in law heard, but it makes for interesting banter during the off season. File this in the TIFWIW category.

I haven't heard anything about that...if given time, I'll ask a few today if they've heard something along those lines.

Yes, would be interesting, wouldn't it? I'll have to say the story sounds like one that started as a few guys joking around about an Aussie style kicker...and then the joke turned into a what if...then a rumor...

I don't see JW having the time to get reps with the punting team this past spring to be honest...JMO.
