The Southeastern Conference folks bookended SEC Media Days with the sharp jabs of South Carolina's Steve Spurrier on the front end and the subtle slashes of Alabama Coach Nick Saban on the back. Spurrier tells you what he thinks with an in-your-face sarcasm. Saban has the media wondering if they actually heard what they think they heard, and then they're laughing at themselves. It makes tolerable for the record 1,050 media folks here having to endure 30 minutes of evasive Gene Chizik and nine other league coaches uttering coachspeak in between.
