Just a random shot of the sidelines with 2 signs being held up

One of the things about the signs is only one is the actual set; one is just to mislead anyone trying to read sets.

If you look at the pic, you'll see several people calling in different sets, assignments, play, etc.

My guess is no matter what all those signs and signals mean, it was late third or early fourth quarter and Nick said run the damn ball. I think a picture of a corndog would have been funny though.

Have a pal who was on USA's staff last year... he told me their sign cards were all decoys... they just held up whatever.

I can't recall if it was something I was told, or something I heard, or read for that matter ... I just vividly recall learning that there were two signs (printing and hand signals) and one was fake.

If you look at that pic I edited a bit with the arrows you can see two guys with each position coach.

I think the move to the signs have really helped out the offense. It seems like I see a lot fewer delay of games and general confusion on offense. I could be wrong...my wife will tell you it definitely ain't the first time!
