Say for example, the ACC is on life support; it's got about ten years left. Assuming the SEC envelopes a good chunk of those teams, would the SEC not entertain the idea of divisions again? If I'm wrong, fine. You can explain why I'm wrong to me like I'm a four year old.
 
The SEC needs to let the dust settle from OK and TX. Over the next few years, the ACC picture will become clearer. At that point, does the SEC pursue or will they be the pursued?
 
I believe the SEC will become a 4 division league.. 24 teams.. North South East and West.. all leagues will follow suit.. Every league will have a final four and a final game to determine the champion… Then off to the playoffs…An NFL-esqe set up

While money is a prime factor, how many games is too many? Your scenario is too many. There would be no break. Teams would go from the last game, to a conference semi, to a conference championship, to a first round playoff, to a second round playoff to a CFP final.
