🏈 Grading the SEC with a focus on the remainder of the '16 Tide Schedule.

UK: Fail.

The win over NMSt is erased by the loss to Southern Miss. A win over UofSC does nothing to erase the total beat down they took at the hand of the Gators.

UArk: TBD.

A good win versus TCU and a conference loss versus A&M tend to wash each other out in my opinion much like a close win over LM is erased by the lopsided win versus Tx St.

UT: Pass

A good start at 4-0 with a team that looks like it may be growing up (for an East team.) UGA next week tells a lot about their 2016 season I suspect.

A&M: Pass

2-0 in conference play with wins against Auburn and Arkansas.

LSU: Fail

A win versus Mississippi State does nothing to balance out their recent loss to Auburn. Here's a team projected to be in the playoff who now sits unranked at 2-2. (not to mention the firing of two coaches.)

MSU: TBD.

No one expected much out of the Bulldogs this season so seeing a win over UofSC, at least to me, means nothing much like the loss to LSU.

AU: Fail.

Like a few other teams, pointing to one win against a conference opponent means little when that opponent just fired their head coach. As bad as Clemson has been playing early on, their grade just slips further down the scale.

Kentucky - Fail. I just think they are the same ole Kentucky at this point.

Arkansas - Pass. I think they have a budding quarterback. His brother was a gamer and he is as well. Big line again and you never know what to expect from Beilema. I think they have a chance to be pretty good this season.

Texas A&M - Pass. I believe they have an offense that can make plays and put up some numbers with a mobile quarterback. Yes, they started alow, but who hasn't? Their defense never meets expectations from me and I am sick of hearing about Miles Freaking Garrett, was last year. In the end, I think they will definitely compete.

Tennessee - TBD. These guys are the opposite of last year, which may be the better way to be. They are coming on strong at the end of the game, when it matters. I still do not know what to expect. Georgia is a hollow shell, so I don't think that game will show us anything.

LSU - TBD. Once again, have so many playmakers that they can be superstars or fall flat due to motivation. Hard to discount athleticism, but they have not hit that switch yet. Wisconsin loss not looking so bad anynore either.

Mississippi State - Fail. They just suck.

Auburn - Fail. Defense is rhe only thing they have going, but they also haven't played a team that has an offense that has put them on their toes. Clemson is starting to find their way, but obviously they were not there in the first few games. I think Auburn is closr to .500 this year, maybe 7-8 wins if they keep getting lucky like they did at LSU.

Pretty much.

I didn't think UT would win against UF though I did question the rankings/stats the Gators had put up in their first three games. I thought UArk would give more of a game to A&M.

More of a game? It was close until a BS targeting call in the 4th quarter. A&M fans were very worried all game long, atleast the four I know were.

Yes, more of a game. UArk averaging three yards a carry? Hell, Williams had more yards against TCU than the entire 'Backs team did against A&M. Recall, this is the same Aggie team that allowed Auburn 325+ in their game the weekend before last.

I guess we're seeing things differently, because I am seeing almost 500 yards of offense. You saying Ole Miss should have gave us more of a game as well?

Agree...A few years ago, people were making such a stink about how badass Jarvis Jones was at Jawja. We just ran the ball right at him in the SECCG. We've dealt with Garrett for two seasons. He really hasn't been a terror yet because we either move right at him or move in a completely different direction. He can chase, but he's not going to chase that long.

No. It's my opinion Ole Miss threw everything they could against the Tide.

However, when your style has been pounding the rock and you find a team not able to sustain a running game against A&M? It tells me A&M is weaker in the secondary than they have been (based on the 350 through the air) and, more importantly, Arkansas is still looking to get its game in order.

I didn't know their game was still ground and pound after they lost their two stud backs. I assumed it was more of a balancing act at the moment. I had them covering the spread and I feel like they gave a great three quarter effort. We better watch out for them, because it'll be a rouge team like them that sneaks up on us. Look at last year.

Consider this. Bielema's known for having lines that control the line of scrimmage. It's been one of those teams you know are going to fight in the trenches, right?

Two times they were in 1st and goal situation and came away with three points on both efforts. That's not the Arkansas team I expected to see at this stage of the year. Hell, even without their "stud backs" they were close enough for a QB sneak a couple of times and there was no push from the offensive line.

That's not a passing grade in my eyes.

I completely agree with you on that front. I was miffed at why they could not punch it in either of those times. It cost them the game in my opinion. I still feel as if they were competitive though. Guess I just always expect them around 8-4, maybe 9-3 with an upset or so mixed in there. They play hard and their quarterback Allen is going to be a really good player for them as Coach Saban likes to put it.

Kentucky- FAIL!! When does basketball start? Is Stoops really on the hotseat or do they really care about football?

Arky- FAIL!! Bielema has always had that big bruising Oline that was going to ground and pound you in short yardage and play action you to death. Pigs haven't been physical at all!!

A&M- PASS! Sumlin found him a QB but I still don't think their issues are solved on D even with the Chief calling the shots.

Viles- TBD!! How good is UF? How bad is UF? While Dobbs lit up UF in the 2nd half, I still don't see a true identity for the Viles yet. Run game has been sporadic as well as Dobbs through the air. Fall behind to BAMA early, and as long as Pruitt and company stay out of prevent, you can stick a fork in the Viles!!

LSwho- :headscratch: 2nd most talented team in the league and they sit at 2-2 with an Ogre as interim HC now. I don't see them really turning things around even with Cameron and Miles gone. The kids may play a little harder, but their offensive playbook is only about 6 pages, 3 being pictures. Emsinger isn't an Einstein as far as offense and you would have to be crazy as hell to chunk your offense and start from scratch mid-season.

Miss State- FAIL!!! How do you get in a shootout with UMASS?? SERIOUSLY!!!!! Cousin Eddie should've left when Dak left!!

Barn- FAIL!!!! So you beat Lswho! BIG DEAL!! Load the box to stop Fournette and make them beat you with their 3 pass plays. Problem was, Cameron and Miles gave up on Fournette and Guice! Those 2 should have gotten between 20-25 touches each. You have a decent defense that lacks a lot of depth and that will be your death nail Gus! You have NO QB on the campus once again and now you have turned over play calling duties to one of your lackeys. I see what you are doing there Gus. When the next loss comes and then the others to follow, you will throw your lackey under the bus to save your job for at least another year.
