I've tried to be largely silent on the issue as the second half of the season has progressed. I've only commented a couple of times on game threads regarding our play calling, and my utter disgust with it. When you're a staff member on a site you tend to try and walk the fine line, but not cross it. At least, not too blatantly anyway. ;)

I've got to give props to McElwaine today. I know that in a lot of instances we just out-manned Florida and made their grass quit, but I still have to give props to McElwaine for putting the kids in a position to win. The play calling was varied for the most part, and effective.

There was an instance where BAMA went into the shell that they always seem to go into, and I still think that the Wildcat more resembles the Tamedcat, but all in all, I gotta give the offense and the play calling major props.

Of course it helps when the kids actually catch the ball. Nice job though, IMHO.

I like the wildcat, but what was apparent here that wasnt there in some games this season: The playcalling was aggressive. That kinda game is what I think weve been capable of all year.

The play calling today was great, but I understand what you are saying and think we are lucky to be undefeated at this point. Lucky only because we have overcome play calling.

Agreed.

I have been very frustrated and concerned many times this year because of the play calling, but I was very pleasantly surprised in the SECCG. Major props to McElwain for his play-calling at the Georgia Dome.

Whale of a game plan by Saban and McElwain. Wow, we weren't sitting around waiting for anything to come our way. We were making it happen, being aggressive, etc.. Just a whale of a game!
