💬 Golfers. "I played Augusta National and had my own Masters meltdown."

Pretty good article. I don't think I would be oogling golf's past as much as I would be thinking of my grandfather and dad. They are both from Augusta and raised me at the Masters. I never fully understood why they admired everything about the club and tournament so much till I hit my teens. By that time my grandfather died and we lost a lot of connections through the years making it tougher. I had a few chances to play, but as a tennager did not have the $500 the "connection" wanted. Those times are long gone now, and my next attemot will be once my kids are a little older and I can work on getting on as a volunteer for the tournament. Cool article and neat to hear it from a normal prospective.

I can't recall when you were in the Charleston area. If it fits right, you might remember Ken Burger. He was the main sports writer for the Post and Courier. He passed away...geez, a half of a dozen years or more ago. I'm telling you. He wrote some of the best Augusta stories I've ever read.
