to show the class that is expected of me as an Alabama fan and alum this week. The trash talk has already started. Saturday afternoon some fat, sweaty pig felt the need to yell at my family that "Bama's gonna lose next week" (use the most country-hick-sounding voice you can imagine while reading that). I can handle quite a bit if it when it's people I know. I just got a text from a really good friend and I know my FB page is about to light up. Actually the text wasn't even serious...he could care less. He's just messing with me.

Maybe it's because I'm a little nervous that I'm worried about keeping my composure...

Same here, but I'm hearing it from, none other than the barners. One fat pathetic loud mouth barner at my job has an aubarn flag on her car with 11-26-10 written to the side of the AU logo. She was dancing down the hallway this morning singing the barn fight song and talking about "I could care less if we win or lose the others, just so long as we win the Friday after Thanksgiving!" Then came a prediction how they were going to stop Mark and Trent and force G-Mac to throw for the entire game. Should someone tell them they have South Carolina this weekend?

both the arkansas feral piggies and the awbern feral cats will be tamed on saturday. south carolina is a disciplined, balanced team that can throw or pass. the barn will be mystified.... stupified... mortified by them.

arkansas is ONE DIMENSIONAL. have you watched them try to run the ball. it's laughable.

I know what you guys are going thru. I live and work in Opelika....not everyone here is an aub....we have a few georgia, tenn, and flstate fans also. but damn the aub fans are bad/ pathetic. each week i hear go lions, go hogs, (insert whoever we are playing) and also hear all the bs :we look so good", "cam is unstopable", "we are gonna win the west", "yall are overrated", etc, etc.

There are some schools that absolutely thrive on luck, and often times, not much more than that. I put Arkansas and Auburn both in that category. If a certain center doesn't move the ball a bit before the snap, Auburn goes into a second OT with Clemson Saturday nite. The outcome of that, we'll never know.

I don't know how many times Arkansas has gone to overtime since joining this conference and the implementation of OT rules. They've benefited through the years in their series with us, from numerous gaffes on our part (most recently freshman Tiffin's kicking in 2006), and times before that from horrific officiating mistakes.

All that is said to illustrate that fact that the past two years, no amount of luck could have saved them from the royal a55-whipping we have given them. Expect more of the same this Saturday. WE OWN ARKANSAS.

Every season is a one-game season for the boogs. A vast majority of them would prefer to go 1-11 and beat Bama than go 13-1 and win the BCS NS but have the one loss to Bama.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I'm feeling a bit better. I just love how people think just because I have Bama stuff on my car that they have the right to be rude to me when I'm minding my own business. It's especially bad when they really think they're going to win. Some of us were talking about how rude and obnoxious pig fans are...and they weren't even Bama fans. I don't think they really even care about college football, but they've noticed it too. One of the women has a daughter who is a TX fan and she has the same problem.

My question is...how do you "red out" a team that wears red? I know we're crimson (and the players' jerseys ARE crimson), but half of the shirts out there we can buy as fans are the exact same red they wear. Not only that, but I don't remember losing a game to any team that "black", "white", or anything elses us. lol.
