After the disgrace of Vandy losing to Baylor yesterday, not going to watch the SEC lose another one today. Can't remember if Gus has ever won a bowl game but with the dumpster fire that is BarnBall, I can't believe he will win the CountryWestern *at least its not the Bham Bowl this year.
I have the choice to do a volunteer event on Saturday morning or watch UF play Khaki Pants... think I will do the volunteer event.
What say you?

just tuned in to see what was happening with Gus calling plays... seems Louisville is saying... "Man, we dodged a bullet there!!!."
Not sure what has happened but its 10:30 left in 2nd and it's 42-7 the Barn... what the hell, (and yes, Gus has the 1st team in trying to protect the lead, may wish he had played the other QB's for development?) Stidham IS leaving for the draft

Looks like gus is going back over to the dark side. I don't blame him really, it's his bus. Did you happen to hear what the play by play dude said when the barners went up 28 to 0? "Folks your not going to believe this but auburn has had the ball just over 5 minutes." And so it goes with the hyper-spread.

There is a valid reason the barners have been playing lights out defense these last few seasons. Same reason the barner administration was begging gus to turn over OC duties. He was struggling mightily in controlling the clock and his defenses were getting shattered against the better talent in the SEC. So he's been doing this dance that requires he slow down the pace and have some semblance of ball control. Face it, he's terrible at it and he will be surely fired if he keeps it up. The advantage has been they now have enjoyed a very good defense, because their tongues not dragging and they hired a very good DC to run it. Will that type of success continue if gus kicks it back into hyper-drive?

NO. Not against the elite teams. As soon as they catch up with their speed and scheme, they will shut down the TDs in the red zone. They'll have to kick too many field goals and that is certain death for gus's offense. Their D will be eventually left out to dry, gassed, and much like the old days, discipline and eye recognization will fail them. Steele will start looking like the Steele of Clemson days and it just won't really be his fault. So goes the delicate dance between offensive and defensive schemes in college football.

But at this stage of his barner career, I think if he goes down again, he's just going down with the ship his way. Checks cash either way.

This game saved Malzahn's job. Yuge win. :ROFLMAO:

This is great news..... Keep the clown down there forever. The morons in Opelika and their minion followers will take one game and irrationally believe things are all better now. Expectations will go out of the roof. They may give him a contract extension with more buy out money... Completely clueless bunch.

Look at the big plays by both Vandy and Aubie. Aubie 3 TDs of over 50 yards. Vandy 3 TDs over 60 yards. Hope this trend continues.

Heard a stat but haven’t been able to verify. Said Bama wasn’t in the top 50 of holding teams to big plays over 20 yards. I wouldn’t have guessed that, if it’s true.
