📝 Georgia tight end Miller Forristall commits to Alabama

Alabama added its 15th commitment and second tight end to the 2016 recruiting class when Cartersville, Ga., standout Miller Forristallgave the Crimson Tide staff a verbal pledge. Forristall confirmed the news to AL.com.

Forristall was in Tuscaloosa on an unofficial visit. when he made his commitment.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Forristall is a three-star recruit in the 247Sports composite. Forristall's commitment moves Alabama to No. 5 in the 247Sports composite team rankings.

He joins Missouri standout Brendan Scales as Alabama's tight end commitments in this class. Tight end is a position of need and Alabama hoped to sign multiple players at that position in the 2016 class.

Here's a snippet of his evaluation from UGA's 7 on 7 camp this summer.

A year in the program to get his weight up 30 to 40 lbs and he'll be a prototypical sized tight end.

"For most of the day the Cartersville tight end had his way in the middle of the field. He's too fast for linebackers and too big for anyone in the back half. Like others on this list, he has great hands and looked great when adjusting to the football while it was in the air."
