💬 Gearheads thread: Here's 100K, which one do you pick to restore?

They look like they're all Fords. For the bang for the buck, "I" would probably bring the best return. Looking at A, I can't tell if it's a late A Model or a B Model. My Dad's 1931 A Model pickup is in great shape, and I know I'll have to let it go at some point. The tough part about Model A's is that most folks interested in them want to cut them down for a street rod. That would be painful.

I really like "C", too. In high school in between my '65 and '66 Chevy II's, my Dad let me drive his '66 Ford SWB fleetside with a 351 in it. Boy, that thing would haul.

Tim

Sorry to hijack, but if I had $100k to spend on a resto project I would choose among these six: 69 Vette (LSX engine), 68 Camaro RS (Big Block Chevy), 68 GTO (Butler Pontiac), Early 70s Firebird Formula or Trans Am (LSX), Mongoose Grand Sport Replica, or Factory Five 33 Hot Rod.69 Vette.jpg68 Camaro.jpg68 GTO.jpg71 firebird formula.jpgMongoose.jpgFFR 33 Hot Rod.jpg

Since you're expanding, it would a '67 Camaro or '65 Vette.

Among more current cars, it's more likely that if I ever take on another restoration/update, it will be a 90's 2-door Tahoe/Yukon. I love the old K5 Blazers (I had a '72 SWB stepside PU), but I've always liked the look of the 90's 2-door Yukons/Tahoes. I'd like to make it pretty bulletproof and let it be my apocalypse vehicle.

Some nice whips, but I don’t see a 65 Cobra listed! 😂
Ha! Good catch! I already built one of those - Factory Five kit. It was awesome and super-fast. Probably the prettiest build I've done to date. Here are a couple of pics. The problem was, I didn't fit in it too well. I'm not crazy tall - just 6-2 - but they are so small I was chewing on my knees and my head was over the windshield. Cobra 1.jpgCobra 2.jpgCobra 3.jpg

Sweet!!! My dad would have given anything to have one of those kit cars. What engine did you have in it?
