🏈 Games: 12/19 - 25

It was either yesterday or Friday I saw a tweet quoting Muschamp stating "if he had hired Roper earlier he'd still be at UF."

We all have seen the offensive woes in Gainesville under Boom. Some of us suspect that'll continue in Columbia.

That all leads to a thought, question if you will.

So, under Roper, what happened with the QB situation when he was in Gainesville? For one thing, we saw Driskell leave and head to La Tech. After seeing what Driskell did under Skip Holtz (of all people) and comparing that to what he did at UF under Roper we still wouldn't have seen him develop at UF, would we?

I really pissed my Aubie neighbor off last night when I suggested Jax State was their best win of 2015.

You want to add some fuel to the fire?

JSU linemen, Samuels, is the nephew of Chris.
Defensive line coach is Todd Bates.
Outside linebackers coach is Nick Gentry.
Their WR and ST coach, Nick Williams, if a former walk-on WR at Bama (son of Bobby Williams.)
Their TE coach and recruiting coordinator is JR Sandlin; at Bama from 2010-2012.

Remember the saying "he can take your's and beat his ...?"

A team with less talent, fewer scholly's, less financial backing/revenue, coached by a slew of for Bama guys ... and it took OT for Auburn to come out with the W.

Adds a bit of intrigue to a conversation ... or spice, likely anger ... :naughtydevil:

@Birdman37 It's a cool story in more ways than one.

As a long time fan of defense the two INT's made it a good game. That last possession drive for the win? Great game.

Pesky little fuckers ... those Sun Belt teams, eh? ~ First thing I'd say to an Ohio fan if I ran into one today.

New to the FBS, in a conference where 11 wins has its meaning ...

'preciate you remembering to link me on this!

Yeah if you haven't seen it, try to find the strip fumble/TD. The backer literally snatched it away from the receiver and then ran for a 45 yd TD, it was wild. It really felt kinda like a basketball game with each team going on a run at different points.

The Sun Belt really does have a cpl of programs that have built really solid teams. They obviously on a much lower level than the power five but Appalachian State, South Alabama, and Arkansas State all have really solid teams.

The thing I was surprised about with the Camellia Bowl was how gorgeous the stadium is. I haven't been to the Cramton Bowl since years ago when they had the Blue-Gray Classic and it looked like crap then. They announced to us that the attendance was a little over 22,000 which would be very close to a sell out. IDK if I buy that but it was pretty full, at least 20,000 there and with the $100+ tickets they sold to sit in the end zone and have food served to you they probably make some good money. Both teams were very well represented. There was obviously some local people there but tons of Ohio and App State fans too. And did I mention the food they served us in the press box was amazing? lol Those Lemon Pepper Wings were something else. :)

@uagrad93 Did you catch the comment by Desmond earlier in the game when he called the S Florida defense the "Tiger Shark defense?"

Could very well be coming soon to an SEC town near you!!!
