🏈 Game thread: LSU @ Alabama

Play the game back and listen to Gary comments. Yes they called a good game, but cheered for LSU several times. Oh my goodness comments when LSU made a good play.
LSU was the underdog of course they would be excited. I am not saying this to be hateful but I feel that sometimes our fans have a tendency to have this strange inferiority complex. They act excited at the possibility of a good game. I also heard several excited calls from Vern when Bama did something amazing. I agree that he can be annoying at times but did not see any bias toward LSU in this game. Gary in fact stated that AJ should be among a heisman favorite. Do we need to actually hear them say roll tide to believe they don't hate Alabama?

Gary to me is just insufferable. Maybe its his voice, maybe its his questioning of what Alabama does, maybe its because he has a greater football IQ than me, but he annoys the hell out of me. Agree to disagree, lets stop fighting over whatever the hell the announcers said and celebrate the win over LSU

Hey you are entitled to your opinion. Gary said that comment about AJ after the game was obviously won. He has a long history of wishing bad luck on BAMA. I am biased because I am from the south, He is from the North and just wants someone from the north to beat us.

It is my observation. Lou Holtz is the same way.

Gary has been bragging on AJ for a long time, not just tonight. And if you can show me just ONE instance of him actually "wishing bad luck on Bama" I will print this out and eat it...

Yea I feel like Gary Danielson keeps it pretty realistic. When we screw up, he says it. When we make a big play, he says it. I think he does a great job actually.

I don't think it has anything to do with him being from up north. The only games he calls, that I see atleast, are SEC teams vs. SEC teams. Northern teams aren't involved...

After reading some of the comments, I wish i didn't have to work last night. Sounds like it was one heck of a game to remember. Well I'll have to wait til someone puts it up on youtube. Then I'll just sit back and Roll Tide!

There is not any instance of "wishing bad luck on BAMA". That is not how he does it. Read this article. I am not the only schizophrenic observer of his style of game calling. Again it is just my opinion. If you disagree then that is OK. I should have turned down the sound and tuned in to a radio broadcast with Eli Gold.:icon_rolleyes:

Where CBS Failed

His voice rose with so much enthusiasm during a positive play for South Carolina I found myself wondering if he was secretly pulling a Brandi Chastain, wildly waving his shirt around above his head in studio. He then followed this enthusiasm with periods of almost complete quiet during an Alabama drive, muttering excuses for South Carolina’s failures. If Danielson can not at least pretend he is neutral during coverage, CBS should allow someone else to cover the game instead.
