Any one have any gut feelings? :?

I would have thought he would stay, but then again, I wouldn't expect a press conference for that.

As many cases for as against...Shaun is one that comes to mind.

I could certainly see Saban using the PC angle as a way to crank out some good pub for both Caldwell and The University, with him saying he's coming back for his Sr. season. Saban, as you well know, does an incredible job of doing things like that, so it is certainly possible. Knowing how seriously Caldwell takes his academics (and he's working on his masters), and knowing that staying another year would help him some, I'd be surprised if he did jump. He'd be a lock for the Sr. Bowl next year as well, which can be as important (and in some cases more) than the combines for a player like Caldwell. So IMO, he'd certainly be better off in the long run returning for his Sr. year.

Agreed. Wholeheartedly. Saban is known for telling players to leave if they are 1st rounders as well...I don't see AC as that.

So the consensus is that he might stay, but he also could be good as gone. I would seriously consider this a 50/50 thing, at least IMO.

There's no telling what is going through his mind, all I know is that if he stayed one more season he would be better off. But you never know what is going to happen with injuries...it's a tough decision for sure.

Why hold a presser if you're going to stay?

Then again......if your staying it might send a positive to the program?

I hope he sticks around myself!

Are you a politician?

I might be but I might not be too. Guess that does make me one.

You're welcome, but the PC may be just on Crimson Tradition. Supposedly, the feed has started already for CT subscribers, although I don't know if the actual conference has begun.
