Unless there is some link made to recruits signing with a school over a coaches efforts, and they don't mention any recruits name, I'm not sure I see the big deal.

Regardless, considering the schools involved, the NCAA won't consider it an issue either.

it could be seen as the coach is trying to gain the favor of the school he is speaking at by helping it raise money. the school could then in turn try to steer kids to the college, maybe change a recruit's grade, etc etc etc. i can really see both sides of the argument, but i am leaning towards the side of this was inappropriate.
